Take control of a heavily armored, futuristic combat unit and defend your base against relentless waves of enemies. Fend off explosive suicide drones, armored tanks, and gun-wielding assault vehicles in fast-paced, arcade-style combat. Survive the siege until the final boss arrives — defeat it, and victory is yours.

My Responsibilities (Lead Developer)
As the lead developer, I designed and built all core gameplay systems (excluding enemy AI and art assets) for this wave-based survival game with a focus on scalability, feedback, and pacing. Key contributions included:
Wave & Progression Systems
Created a scalable round and wave manager with timed enemy spawns and boss rounds
Implemented drill and boss spawning logic based on round milestones
Player, Base & Health Systems
Developed shared health logic for player, base, and boss with explosion effects and victory triggers
Integrated UI updates for health and damage feedback
UI & Game Flow
Built start, pause, death, and victory screens with smooth transitions
Added dynamic in-game UI for round/wave tracking
Camera & Boss Events
Scripted camera switching and shaking for boss encounters to enhance immersion
I designed a flexible boss behavior system to enhance the game’s final phase challenge. Key responsibilities include:
Moving the boss toward the home base using real-time pathing logic
Periodically spawning enemies from fixed points to increase late-game pressure
Implementing a bullet spray system with directional spread and projectile control (optional/expandable)
This system enables distinct boss encounters, layering additional threats through minion support and potential ranged attacks.
I developed a modular HealthScript system for managing health, damage, and death behavior across all game entities. Key responsibilities include:
Handling dynamic health updates with slider-based UI feedback
Managing damage resolution, death triggers, and explosion effects
Supporting boss-specific death logic with camera shake, win condition, and mass entity cleanup
Allowing health resets and delayed entity deletion for controlled game pacing
This system standardizes health mechanics across all units and simplifies death-state handling in varied combat scenarios.
I implemented smooth game state transitions through interactive start and pause menu systems. Key responsibilities include:
Creating a fade-in transition from menu to gameplay with UI swapping and round initialization
Implementing a responsive pause system with time scaling and scene reload functionality
Providing UI hooks for quitting the game or restarting rounds cleanly
These scripts ensure polished user experience and clean control over gameplay flow.
